If everything is right track, then in the next 5 years, we will be able to use 5G network in India. This claim has been made by a senior officer of Sweden’s telecom company Ericsson.

According to the official, the year 2018 is going to be recorded as a significant year in history from the perspective of Information Technology. Ericsson estimates that the use of 5G network in India will start from 2022. But by then the monthly mobile data traffic will increase in India by 5 times. This was 1.9 Exabytes (EB) in 2017, which will increase to 10 EB by 2023.

Head of Strategic Marketing and Business Networks at Ericsson, said, we believe 20 percent of the total data traffic in 2023 will be 5G. He further said that this 20 per cent will be even more than one and a half times more than the current 4G, 3G and 2G combined.

They said that use of 5G will be more than 4G and users will consume more data. However, users will not be required to spend more time as the Smartphone’s will be equipped with new capabilities, like virtual reality and 4k video. This technology will enable you to watch video as well as around the video.

It is also analyse that North America will be at the forefront on implementing 5G. Indeed, all major US service providers are planning to launch 5G from the end of 2018 to the middle of 2019.
